New York: A.S. Barnes, 1847. [Second Edition]. Oblong octavo (16x25.5cm.); publisher's black morocco-backed boards lettered in gilt; 360pp.; chiefly sheet music. Leather dried and scuffed at ends, boards a bit rubbed with brief exposure at corners, faint ring stain to upper cover, front flyleaf (blank?) excised, loss to rear free endpaper, foxing throughout, else Good to Very Good, internally sound. Small blue printed note from the publishers tipped in, "respectfully ask[ing] the attention of MUSIC TEACHERS and others careful examination of this work," together with a list of tunes of special note, including "Wyoming," by Kingsley, most likely referring to the Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania, the territory of Wyoming not being named such until 1865.
