[New York: Illustrated Color Post Card & Now Co., 1918]. About fine postcard addressed to "Mother" (Mrs. C. M. Freeman) of Colorado Springs, postmarked Charlotte, NC April 13, 1918, from her son John. "Believe me, this is true here. Got paid yesterday will have to save some as we may be sent out any time. Your son, Love from John." A brief if rather telling message of the boredom and nerves accompanying the wait before the action. Item #618
