One of dozens of Cracker Jack prizes designed by pop-up book artist C. Carey Cloud over the course of three decades, from the 1930s through the 1960s. The Chicken and Egg Puzzle was issued at least twice, in 1940 and 1946, the later version printed in green and red. Cloud was also known for designing the toy premiums for Ovaltine, Pillsbury, and others.
